Our wool rugs are made in a family owned factory in Veria, Greece (established in 1950).
The New Zealand wool is exported to Greece for production using a weaving process that contains no synthetics.
Berber rugs are woven NZ wool, intertwined with jute strands.
Prior to weaving, the wool is thoroughly cleaned and then rinsed to remove 99.9% of any dirt & vegetation.
The wool is then air dried over drying racks prior to the weaving process.
Coloured wool is achieved using a clothing grade dye (hypoallergenic).
We stock many sizes and colours of Berber rugs, from large area rugs to hall runners and door mat sizes.
Berber rugs only come in 2700gsm (= 2.7kg per square meter)
'gsm' means 'grams per square meter'.
Berber rugs have two usable sides so your rug will last a very long time and will not wear like a synthetic rug.
