Our Flokati rugs are made in a family owned factory in Veria, Greece (established in 1950).

The New Zealand wool is exported to Greece for production using a weaving process that enables a 100% wool rug (wool base + wool pile) with no synthetics.

Wool

Prior to weaving, the wool is thoroughly cleaned and then rinsed to remove 99.9% of any dirt & vegetation from the wool.

The wool is then air dried over drying racks prior to the weaving process.

Sizes

We have the most sizes in the 2000gsm density (Round & Square rugs).
If you select the 1200gsm or 3000gsm, you will notice we do not keep as many sizes in these densities.

Density

We supply 3 densities. 1200gsm / 2000gsm / 3000gsm.

'gsm' means 'grams per square meter'.

As an example, 2000gsm is 2kg of wool per square meter.

Visit the link below to learn more on density (with photo comparisons).

Unpack

After unpacking your rug, ensure you 'fluff' it up and tease it out with your fingers or a brush.

Your Flokati needs to be brushed to remove loose wool.

Nice rug

Great! Wasn't expecting so many clumps to fall out though so soon, and the strands are more 'noodle-y' than I expected.

Gorgeous rug

We absolutely love our flokati rug. It is like a cloud. We have dust mite allergies and wool naturally repels them. I also wanted a rug made of natural materials not plastic or polyester. This rug is everything I had hoped for. I can’t wait to buy more for our bedrooms

Amazing rug

I love the rug. The 2000gsm is thick and the natural colour is creamy and doesn’t have the dreaded yellow tinge
