Our Flokati rugs are made in a family owned factory in Veria, Greece (established in 1950).
The New Zealand wool is exported to Greece for production using a weaving process that enables a 100% wool rug (wool base + wool pile) with no synthetics.
Prior to weaving, the wool is thoroughly cleaned and then rinsed to remove 99.9% of any dirt & vegetation from the wool.
The wool is then air dried over drying racks prior to the weaving process.
We have the most sizes in the 2000gsm density (Round & Square rugs).
If you select the 1200gsm or 3000gsm, you will notice we do not keep as many sizes in these densities.
We supply 3 densities. 1200gsm / 2000gsm / 3000gsm.
'gsm' means 'grams per square meter'.
As an example, 2000gsm is 2kg of wool per square meter.

After unpacking your rug, ensure you 'fluff' it up and tease it out with your fingers or a brush.
Your Flokati needs to be brushed to remove loose wool.
I'm really pleased with the cinnamon rug. After ordering I hoped it would not be too dark. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprise with the colour. It is not dark at all.
I love the tone and now think cinnamon would be lovely in our lounge where I have a large natural coloured flokati
We tossed and turned between the Cinnamon and the Natural. Both I'm sure would have worked well in our living room. I had some reservations as I wasn't sure which photo best represented the actual look of the wool. But Ryan at the company advised the darker photo was in dim lighting taken by a customer of theirs and really was a more lighter tone which suited us. Very happy, gave it a brush with a hair brush when we put it down and looks a million dollars.
I have a natural wool rug and decided to change it up in the bedroom with the cinnamon. Beautiful... delivery quick and no complaints.
